HETAC    HETAC (the Higher Education and Training Awards Council) was established on 11 June 2001, under the Qualifications (Education and Training) Act 1999. It is the successor to the National Council for Educational Awards (NCEA). HETAC is the qualifications awarding body for third-level education and training institutions outside the university sector.
Institutes of Technology    Institutes of Technology Ireland, was incorporated in June 2005 as a not-for-profit organisation with charitable status. It enables the Directors/Presidents of the 13 Institutes of Technology established under the 1992 RTCs Act to co-ordinate the work of the Institutes nationally and it resources the Management Teams of the Institutes in the discharge of their duties towards their respective Institutions.
